Here’s a quick round up of most of the gifts I made this christmas, I think the only ones not photographed were the edible ones.
a christmas themed mini red pom pom trimmed skirt for the bestie using Alexander Henry’s All I want for Christmas fabric and a black cotton lining
a pair of cushions for my other sister and her family, both using Michael Miller’s Zap with a bright red backing, a simple zip opening
a cute little lined shoebag for my sister for when she wears her wellies to work and carries her flats in her bag
And then this year turned into the year of the glove! Possibly because I suffer from cold hands and therefore think everyone else does too!
The beaded gloves from Stitch n Bitch Superstar Knitting book, knit in Rowan (I really liked learning to knit with beads)
the difficult DROPS reindeer gloves, gauge was pretty troublesome with these
nice pair of children’s flip top mittens using DROPS yarn pattern from Knitting New Mittens and Gloves
cabled gloves again using DROPS yarn (I think I have fallen a bit in love with these yarns) pattern from Knitting New Mittens and Gloves
mens vintage garter rib gloves pattern found on Ravelry
Missing from the photographs is another pair of plain gloves, a pair of socks, a couple of christmas cakes, some cocnut ice, some neenish tarts, some madeleines and some spritz cookies, I think that is everything I made this year, next year I promise myself to go easy on the crafty gifts and this time I mean it!!!!
