Ok, I know it’s the height of summer, but when you get an idea, you get an idea and I just had to try it out.

I received an email about how to knit ruffles and I was eager to give it a try. I had a single skein of Sirdar Country Style double knit in the almost single crate of remnant yarn and I set about amending a glove pattern I already had to include a ruffle at the cuff.

The only other change to the pattern I made was to single crochet down the digits so that these gloves were knit in one piece. I hate having to weave in the loose ends!

I knocked these up over a weekend and I’m pretty happy with the result, although now is not really the weather for trying them out.
